Grammy Award Make-Up Artist with Me in LA

Mara Rouse has a history of exceptional credits to her resume to add another jam packed filled week of applying make-up for the celebrity pre-parties to the Grammys as well as the Grammys this year, 2010. Mara Rouse is now the make-up artist for any parties or shoots we do while in I am in Los Angeles.

Mara specializes in Special Effects but loves it all. If it involves applying make-up she has interest. Mara moved here from Washington state to pursue her career working and apprenticing with Top people in the business. Hard work and perseverence got her to where she is now and we are very proud to have her as part of our LA team.

While in LA there are many times we need a little make-up done on the kids or me ( not Danny of course), to look just a bit better on a video or film shoot with the lighting. She has helped in the past and she has officially signed on as our “team”, unless something more important comes up- like the Grammys.

Mara is available for hire: http://www.myspace.com/maramakeup

Thank you Mara!       Tina Turbin

Sesame Street Character to Meet Danny the Dragon!

It is such a delight to know that the Count, from the Sesame Street that we all know and love, will be present for the “Sesame Street Halloween” family concert tomorrow night in Pasadena, CA.

Danny the Dragon (lovable character from my children’s series of the same name) will surely enjoy this introduction. And I hope that the 2,000 attendees will as well.

Time to get back to getting prepared for the event!

Tina Turbin to Announce her Cause at Pasadena City College Orchestra Concert

Sexson auditorium

John A. Sexson Auditorium – main performing arts venue on the campus of the Pasadena City College.

I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with the distinguished conductor of the Pasadena City College Orchestra.

On October 30th, as part of a very special “family” concert that the Orchestra will perform to an audience of 2,000, we will be releasing my Danny the Dragon DREAMS CD and the “Danny the Dragon Meets Jimmy” DVD (sign interpretation for the deaf), based off of my award-winning children’s book of the same name. The CD which also features the “Danny the Dragon Meets Jimmy” audiobook, is composed of beautiful classical music, and one of the classical pieces will be performed live for the first time ever at the concert.

Profits from the sales of the CD will be generously donated to the Celiac Disease Center at Columbia University Medical Center, to support Dr. Peter Green’s research and efforts to raise celiac awareness.

Profits from the sales of the DVD will be donated to the Blossom’s Montessori School for the Deaf.

The concert promises to be a wonderful event. It is the Orchestra’s most sought-after and prestigious concert of the year. More details to come!

Danny The Dragon CD- Tina’s book on CD!

I am VERY pleased to share that the full CD Mastering of my children’s book, Danny The Dragon DREAMS. It has been fully Mastered and the CD cover is in design work as I type away. Thank you Tom Morris at Morrissound Recording in Tampa, Florida! This is an amazing CD with my book being read by an extremely talented vocal-artist followed by a well chosen compilation of 10 original classical songs, composed by up and coming composers. This CD is for ANYONE and everyone, all ages. All the profits to this CD are going to a Cause that is very dear to my heart and I will be announcing the CAUSE, broadly and soon. All the legal mumbo-jumbo is just about totally complete. All the composers on this CD will be announced and broadly promoted, so I ask you to support the Cause and the Artists once we release the details. Each composer currently has beautiful credits for movie and television. More support to them will only help their career and this Cause. When I am given the OK to lift the curtain, I will be sharing it all! Exciting! Tina

Michael Jackson – King of Pop

Heal the World!

Heal the World!

Today was the sorry news that a true legend has died of a cardiac arrest. The man has left a legacy that will travel through time and not be forgotten. He will be known in the Ages as a Master in his own right. Reflect on all his talent and good. Let him rest in peace.
